Norton 3

Norton 3 is the topmost floor of the Norton long-term care wing.

This unit is mainly home to wheelchair-bound residents with physical impairments. The floor is equipped with ceiling lifts, standing lifts, handrails, and more in order to facilitate residents’ lives and caregivers’ jobs.

The unit includes
  • Fifteen private rooms with private bathrooms
  • Five private rooms with shared bathrooms
  • Six semi-private rooms
Norton 3’s additional features
  • Two whirlpool rooms (whirlpool baths provided by caregivers)
  • Built-in drawers and closets
  • Electric bed
  • Kitchen and dining facilities on the unit, with all meals prepared and served by Food Services employees
  • 24/7 nursing and personal care services
  • Daily housekeeping and laundry services
  • Activities directly on the unit done by caregivers and the Activity Coordinator
  • Locked unit for increased security
  • Physical rehabilitation and occupational therapy

 


 

Norton 1 & 2

Norton 1 and 2 are micro-milieus designed specifically to accommodate residents with various forms of dementia.

The unit is locked to increase security and safety, and nursing staff assist with activities of daily living such as toileting, dressing, bathing, feeding, and personal hygiene.

The units each include
  • Fifteen private rooms with private bathrooms
  • Five private rooms with shared bathrooms
  • Six semi-private rooms
