We are currently seeking volunteers to drive residents to/from medical appointments and to do some one-on-one visiting with residents.

It was another extremely busy month at the Wales Home in May.

 

A Mother’s Day craft took place on the afternoon of the 2nd, thanks to the assistance of some of our volunteers. A spa afternoon was held in the living room on May 3rd, also in celebration of Mother’s Day.

 

We have a new activity which has started. It is known as the Current Events Club where residents gather to discuss what is happening in the news. Our semi-annual resident and family meeting took place on the 5th. On the 7th, residents and drivers enjoyed a delicious outing to the Salad Luncheon in Ulverton. Our annual silent auction is currently taking place. The final bell for bids will ring at 3PM on Saturday, May 23rd. On May 23rd, we will also be having:

White Elephant Sale at 1:30PM in the  Shaw 1 Solarium

Bazaar/Bake Sale at 1:30PM in the Manning 1 Kitchenette

Bazaar/Tea at 2:00PM in the Main Dining Room

We will also be drawing a hand crocheted bedspread/tablecloth and cape which were made and donated by Bessie Mills at 3PM on the 23rd. Tickets are available in the main lobby at the Wales Home, and cost $1 each or 6 tickets for $5.

Everyone is invited to check out the items up for auction during Wales Home visiting hours.
