In compliance with the Act Respecting Health and Social Services's Section 209 (Article 209, LSSSS), the Wales Users' Committee was formed to defend its residents' collective rights and interests. "Users" are residents receiving health or social services at the Wales. Due to COVID-19, the Committee has not met since March 2020, but they hope to resume gatherings in September 2020.
What can the Users' Committee do for you?

- Assess your satisfaction regarding services
- Defend your rights and collective interests
- Support and assist you to file a complaint

rent increases effective july 1st:
The annual rent increase is effective July 1st, 2020. This addition does not apply to CHSLD residents.
services included in shaw/manning rents:
Recently, each of you received a copy of your rent breakdown. The breakdown indicates what is included in the fee and what additional charges are (e.g., hearing aid batteries, foot care, outings, and volunteer drivers, etc.). You can find the complete list on your breakdowns under the "Additional Fees" column.
Below are the services with tiny increases effective July 1st, 2020:
- Air conditioning in bedrooms/apartments: $77.25 per summer (air conditioning unit not included)
- Tray service: $144.25 per month (thirty meals)
- Visitor meals:
- Breakfast: $7.25 per adult, $4.00 per child
- Dinner: $13.00 per adult, $7.00 per child
- Supper: $9.50 per adult, $5.25 per child
- Holiday meals: $16.50 per adult, $8.50 per child
