training:
Thank you for attending the infection prevention trainings. Please know that one hundred percent of employees need to take this preparation course, therefore those who did not attend will be scheduled after their working hours over the next few days. I have another session scheduled on Sunday, October 11th at 2:00 p.m. to reach weekend employees and students. Please join in if you have not yet attended.
LOCKERS:
I am happy to report that we purchased additional lockers and will make sure regular employees have their own. Each locker will be numbered and each employee will be registered to one. After discussions with you during the infection prevention trainings, the camera in the locker room will be removed once we have sufficient lockers but you will be responsible for locking up your personal items and the Wales will not be responsible for lost belongings.
INFLUENZA SEASON:
Flu season is about to begin and COVID-19 does not protect us from this fact; both viruses will be active simultaneously. I will inform you as soon as I have more information, but vaccinations usually start at the beginning of November. I strongly recommend that you get immunized, especially during this pandemic, as we need to reduce the risk of infection. If we can remain influenza-free, we will prevent many unecessary COVID tests since the viruses have similar symptoms. Getting vaccinated against influenze will give us one less thing about which to worry.
infection prevention training:
Please see the below documents presented at the infection prevention training. This document will be updated as necessary; revisions will be done in red font. I am currently working on COVID-19 binders for the units; I have given you a lot of information over the past few months and I realize that the documents are scattered a bit everywhere. I will print the documents again and provide you with a binder. Please refer to this information when you have questions and follow the protocols.
Last Friday, I provided the units with new isolation signs. We will have more in the next few days; we are waiting for the plastic lamination pockets to come in. Please read the back of each sign carefully and do not forget to close bedroom doors when necessary. Signs must be installed on the doors.
