JUNE:
Hello and happy June! Where has May gone? I feel like I was just writing May's newsletter entry. This note finds us feeling hopeful that brighter days are on the horizon not only for us, but for the residents as well. Let us send positive vibes to keep this flow going, shall we?
I expect these new measures will cause an increase in visitors as well as volunteer involvement. One very big piece of news is that zootherapy is permitted to return once again, with a date scheduled for the morning of June 24th for the CHSLD units - yay! I think we are ready to experience more feel-good moments.
A summer student will join the Activity Department in July and August. A candidate has not yet been chosen, but their role will be to offer one-on-one visitation by bringing residents outside and facilitating virtual visits. If you know any residents who would like to go outside, please let us know.
Thank you for your kindness and assistance with activities. Happy Father's Day to the dads out there and happy June!
JUNE THOUGHT:
"An old man was eating at a truck stop when three bikers walked in. As they passed the old man, the first biker pushed his cigarette into the old man's pie. The second biker knocked over the old man's coffee cup. The third biker turned over the old man's plate. Without saying a word, the old man paid, got up, and life the diner. One of the bikers said to the waitress, "Not much of a man, was he?" The waitress replied, "Not much of a truck driver either. He just backed his big rig over three motorcycles!""
