Director of Finance
SALARY: $101,853.00 TO $132,410.00 annually
Job description
Under the authority of the Executive Director, the Director of Finance is responsible for the leadership, planning, organization, coordination, and control of the financial activities of the organization and the Foundation. He or she is responsible for the integrated management of the organization’s financial, purchasing and reception services in accordance with laws, regulations, Santé Québec and MSSS directives, internal policies and guidelines, and the requirements applicable to a private CHSLD under contract with Santé Québec as well as a residence for seniors.
*This position is a one (1) year contract with the possibility of permanency.
Wanted profile
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (A CPA and/or masters degree in finance/accounting, an asset)
- Good knowledge of financial and management systems
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of Québec’s healthcare administrative framework, an asset.
- Ability to communicate fluently in French and English (written and spoken).
- Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
Responsabilities :

Lead the organization’s financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, funding compliance, internal controls, payroll, purchasing, and cost optimization.

Oversee financial reporting, audits, and performance monitoring, ensuring accuracy, compliance with professional standards, and timely reporting to management, committees, and Boards.

Develop and implement financial policies, systems, indicators, and recovery plans to support sound decision‑making and organizational sustainability.

Manage relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and external advisors.

Support the Foundation’s financial activities, including fundraising feasibility, investment portfolio oversight, risk management, and compliance with investment policies.
