Annual Campaign

The Wales Home Foundation's Annual Campaign opens with the Wales's fiscal year on April 1st and closes on March 31st each year. Campaigns are marked with an official opening ceremony, usually in October, and an authorized closing in May.

 

The Annual Campaign is launched each year to raise funds for the Résidence Wales Home and CHSLD Wales Inc.'s various capital improvement projects, such as the Front-of-House expansion, the Norton development and renovations, and the Shaw and Manning 1 and 2 remodels. Most recently, money raised through the Campaign was used to completely revamp Central, part of the original Wales building erected in 1921, to create a twelve-bed "Ressource intermédiaire" transitional care unit. The Annual Campaign is thus instrumental to prepare the Wales for its second century of existence.

Golf Tournament

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in our annual Wales Home Foundation Golf Tournament. We offer businesses as well as individuals the opportunity to support our event at different sponsorship levels to guarantee our tournament's financial success.

The tournament is comprised of several activities, including a chance to win vehicles from local dealerships and several other prizes. A delicious banquet dinner follows the tournament, which usually takes place at Golf et Académie Longchamp in Sherbrooke. Supper is catered by Café Massawippi and includes amazing door prizes. The evening concludes with a live auction and the announcement of the winners and profits. The day is filled with laughter and fun; you do not want to miss the chance to participate in this fundraiser!

Candlelight Evening

We would like to invite the public to participate in our annual Candlelight Evening of Memories. This event is designed to celebrate lost loved ones by donating to have a candle lit in their memory.

Year after year, the Wales Home Living Room is filled with candles to honor family and friends. The evening includes refreshments and musical entertainment. The name of each commemorated individual is read aloud during the event.

In Memoriam

Donations in a lost loved one's memory are frequently made.

These types of gifts are given to commemorate a friend or family member who was a resident, or simply as a memory to someone in the community.
