Beneficiary Attendants

Job description
As a compassionate Wales beneficiary attendant, you will assist residents in their daily activities while respecting and encouraging their autonomy level as established in their care plan. You will use interpersonal skills and flexibility to provide a homelike environment alongside your team.
Wanted profile
- Diplôme d'études professionnelles (DEP) in Institutional and Home Care Assistance
- Good spoken English and French. This position requires English to meet residents' needs, who are primarily anglophone
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and Principes de déplacements sécuritaires des personnes (PDSP) training
- Relevant experience with seniors
Responsabilities :
- Provide the assistance and care as required by the residents
- Adapt their approach, temperament, and intensity of care to the resident’s residual capacities
- Communicate changes in residents' conditions with LPNs and Assistant Head Nurses
- Assist the LPN and the Assistant Head Nurse with certain exams and treatments
- Establish a therapeutic alliance with the client and their loved ones
- Provide safe care and services, considering the living environment approach
- Assist in emergency situations
- Contribute to care objectives and the different programs implemented by the Unit Manager
- Participate in daily, weekly, or monthly team meetings.
- Demonstrate autonomy and flexibility in time management and work organization
- Communicate with colleagues, especially during shift changes
