Dietician-Nutritionist - Temporary Replacement
SALARY: $30.88 TO $54.71 HOURLY
Job description
The Dietician-Nutritionist assesses residents' nutritional needs and makes recommendations. They implement intervention strategies aimed at adapting food according to residents' needs to maintain or restore health. The nutritionist develops a healthy menu considering residents' physiological needs while collaborating with the Cook and other healthcare professionals to support residents' quality of life.
**This is a temporary replacement position starting mid-April 2026 and running for approximately one year**
Wanted profile
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition
- Ordre professionnel des diététistes-nutritionnistes du Québec (ODNQ) member
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English and French. This job requires English to meet residents' needs, who are primarily English speakers
- Two years experience in a similar job, an asset
Responsabilities :
- Assess residents' nutritional status based on behaviours and eating habits
- Assess new residents' nutritional needs and ensure follow-up
- Determine the nutritional treatment plan, its implementation, and follow-up
- Maintain, restore, or improve residents' nutrition and health status
- Adapt intervention strategies according to residents' needs and capacities
- Develop, implement, and supervise nutritional activities and food preparation
- Help prevent or treat the consequences of inadequate nutrition
- Design, implement, and evaluate normal and therapeutic menus to maintain and improve overall health
