Maintenance Worker
SALARY: $23.24 HOURLY
Job description
The principal role is to assist in maintaining the building, grounds and equipment of the Wales Home in good condition for the safety and well-being of its residents and staff. This is a full-time, day shift position working from 9:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday as well as every third weekend from 7:00-15:00.
Wanted profile
- High school diploma or equivalent;
OR
Any other completed diploma from the pertinent ministry (DEP, AEC, DEC, BAC, etc.);
OR
Must have three (3) years pertinent experience during the past five (5) years. Note that this requirement will be accompanied by a short evaluation of your general knowledge in reading, writing and calculations. - 2 years experience in maintenance (plumbing, electricity, painting etc.) an asset.
- Good knowledge of English/French (written and spoken).
Responsabilities :
- Carry out the tasks coordinated by the Technical Services Manager.
- Assume the Technical Services Manager’s responsibilities when he is absent.
- Maintain the Wales Home in good condition and in conformity with standards.
- Any other task that meets and respects the employee’s capabilities that can contribute to the success and help achieve the goals of the department and Wales Home.
