Volunteer, Former Director of Health Services
“Seven years ago, I decided it was time for me to retire. Even though I loved my profession, I was tired of working and almost never seeing the results of my efforts and those of my coworkers. Every decision, every reflection took years to achieve, if they ever were accomplished. Then a co-worker who thought that I was too young to retire told me about the Wales Home. She thought I would love working there; and I must say that I did! I had my interview with Brendalee and I fell in love with the place.
My two years at the Home were a wonderful way to finish my carrier on a positive note. The team and the quest for excellence and top-quality care for the residents really pleases me. The thing that I appreciate the most is that after decisions are made, it does not take years to see the plans come to fruition. I love the nurses, the caregivers, the LPNs, and everyone else providing services. Their way of caring for the residents is fantastic. I will never forget the people there. They will be in my heart forever.”
