Since well before this pandemic, the Wales has worked diligently to break social isolation for seniors. The COVID-19 physical distancing regulations have unfortunately made friendly gatherings difficult for many seniors in our area. Our MRC, the MRC du Val-Saint-François, has partnered with the “I am a Cultural Caregiver” initiative to ensure that seniors’ social and cultural needs are met.
